Children's BBC Problems |
| Phillip Schofield presses all the wrong buttons |
In August 2002, Phillip Schofield appeared on ITV 1's 'TV Nightmares', relating one of his most embarrassing mishaps during his days as the face in between the programmes on 'Children's BBC', in the 'Broom Cupboard'. |

"We were upstarts. There was no script. We would wander into Presentation - the most tightly run department in the whole of the BBC. Everything has to be slick and on time.
"They said: 'When you go in there, don't touch anything, will you...that you don't need to touch?! Don't ever ever touch the spinning world!! Don't touch the clock. Don't ever touch the clock!! That's got nothing to do with you. That's adult television.'" |

"One day, I got lost in the desk. And I just pressed one button and up came the spinning world! I had transmitted it in 'Children's'!!" |

Above: a very confused Phillip frantically tries to find the right button. Phillip goes on to tell 'TV Nightmares' how he thought he was about to receive his marching orders. |
